proud emirati: Because believe it or not, people want to read this stuff; on top of the large number of comments filling most of the posts on the front page at the moment, due to the recent du-proxy this site has had almost 400 extra visitors today alone and over 700 extra page views in comparison to 1 week ago.

Uhm? Last I heard, expatriates are a part (majority...) of the UAE community, just like you. And it's precisely that attitude that will always keep that wedge in the community.
Tell you what, we'll get finished building all your shiny buildings and wonderful communities, take your money, and go home. Then you can have fun in your ghost town. Would that make you more happy?
The sooner expats are recognized as valuable members of the community, the better the future this country has.
