It may be interesting to debate the DP World/US port controversy again although it is no longer the topic of the day.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would argue that backing down on the ports deal was not the right thing to do. But I would argue that it was for all the wrong reasons. DP World and its ports deal were, in my strong opinion, unfairly attacked--the whole deal entirely mis-characterized by the US Congress. The international media should have done a better job of exposing the Congress's sham.
