Why is this on the Community blog? There's no particular connection to the UAE here is there? If people here whoever you are can post just about anything, what's the point of this site?
ReplyDeletemmmmm agree with anonymous!
ReplyDeleteIts called UAE community blog so I assume it should concentrate on events, news, and stuff related 2 wut is happening in the country…..anyways that was my personal opinion!
ReplyDelete“ Is UAE community blog dedicated to criticizing UAE only?”
Did I say so!
Thx
UAE community blog has a fairly open remit. It's purpose is to serve the UAE blogging community, help people promote their blogs, and discuss issues relevant to blogging and the UAE.
ReplyDeleteA lot of bloggers are quite ardent netizens, and as writers they are probably quite into reading, so innovative online services like this are probably of interest. Particularly as books can be more tricky to come by in the UAE.
Thanks dg and SD, for coming out defending the post.
ReplyDeleteEnglish books being unusually costly (well for me at least) I thought of talking about free books - this should be extremely helpful for parents of school children as well as younger bloggers!
After all life in UAE is much more than just what UAE/ Dubai would-be, should-be or could-be!
Ah well now u convinced me!
ReplyDeleteIt's a pleasure, Arablady... anytime! Guess anonymous gets too!
