Their Spirits don't "Dampen"
The Rains seems to have taken it's toll on the Sharjah Municipality and revealed it's poor drainage system. An interesting blog by SNAZ was the Raft, Robinson Crusoe & JetSki too.Well the Sharjah residents proved they are high-sprited and instead of grumping over the rain they made the best use of it.(All images used with permission from SNAZ)

ReplyDeleteI beg to differ because from the looks of these images, I don't think there's a drainage system to begin with, let alone the word poor!
Hey, no offense to Sharjah residents, okay? At least they went out and had themselves some fun while it lasts or lasted.
Great party, people!
Hey, those images are also a teenie weenie reminiscent of Katrina's visit to New Orleans couple of years back. Only thing missing are croc dundees :)
ReplyDeleteThe last pic - is that SHJ's city center on Al Wahda Street? The parking lot seems flooded.

We die for rain here in the UAE. And we asked for it alright.
ReplyDeleteNo/poor drainage system? Did we ever really need one? Probably do now with the unpredictable weather due to global warning.
