Dubai, a sax-less city?

I've been looking for Saxophonists in Dubai... without any success!
Even Keva canceled its Tuesday sax night.
Any saxophonist - or saxophonist's friend - on this community Blog?

    I've been here for 4 years and as far as i can tell, Sax events are few and far between.

    You can go to Blue bar in Novitel Shk Zayed Road or to Abu Dhabi at a place called Sax in the Meridian

    There's a guy who plays sax every night in the resident Filipino band at the Chikka Grill club, Marco Polo Hotel Deira. Only time I've seen a sax player in a band here.

    I checked with my colleague, and he said that there is a sax teacher at the Yamaha Music school at Wafi Mall. Yamaha is on the top floor, near the food court. (Go up into the 'old' Wafi bldg and up the main elevator.) I'm told he's pretty good.
