ReplyDeleteThis is a hard one. For me as a Westerner, but at the same time one who believes in being culturally sensitive, I can see how some might find the lady's dress offensive. But I disagree with dictating to people how to dress--except with regard to work. Again, if this were a place of worship, like a mosque, then one might have a right to chastise the tourist. But they are visiting a tourist information office. Come on, this is not a place to have a dress code, and if Dubai wants to welcome international visitors--and it clearly does--it should definitely stay away from dictating how people dress.
