The Best Advertisement You Will Ever See

Has anyone else come across this advertisement in Dubai by the RTA?

Yes, that's right. The Roads and Transport Authority want to promote people taking taxis in between Emirates Towers and the DIFC Gate.

A whopping distance of 126 meters.

Oh Sam, you are such a cynic. Just do what the RTA tells you and you'll be okay.

Brilliant! But I fear that some of our cabbies may still not be able to find it though....

Ah, come on Sam! Where's your sympathy Bro? These guys are broke for fug's sake.

First, they go ahead and reduce the residence visa to 2 years and next up is the 15% hike in utilities.

At the rate they're panicking in desperation, I wouldn't be surprised if they start charging us (expats) for the air that we breathe.

//\\End of rant!

Another great initiative by RTA, These taxis are actually equipped to take you to the desired floor in Emirates Towers without using the Elevator, and if you are going for a restaurant you can also order your food from the taxi.

The icons used in the ad are 2 of Dubai's most prominent structures. So I am not able to understand the issue. Unless somebody needs every sentence or visual in its literal sense.

I think RTA is probably one of the most savvy govt orgs and has done a fairly good job of communication (except a few isolated fiascoes.

I wonder what an ad professional may have to say about the ad

hehehehe cynical Sam

loved the idea of the advert,but they chose the wrong buildings to connect!!!

actually a taxi is safer to cross the road or roundabout than by foot..

gotta admit that, innit?

I trained at the company who does these ads for RTA and I can't say more than the intended message was to transport from one place to another. The designers must have been too involved in the creative process that they forgot about the logic. Good find nevertheless.
