Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

With all the talk about quietness I thought I'd post something....So what do you all think about this multi million dollar event coming to UAE...

I personally think it's fantastic and would love to get my hands on some tickets... :D

multi million?

With all that cash around, it had better multi-billion, if not a trillion.

In other news, speed kills :/

I think you'd be a good help with my new D400?

I hope in addition to F1, they'd also consider Nascar & Indy 500 even though the track set up is for F1.

I'm hoping for a sandstorm

Kyle...I doubt it. With the economic issues, it'll be not such a good idea especially seeing how Dubai Autodrome has already cancelled a few races for this season which sucks...

Al-Ain Rose....D400?? Nikon or Canon...I'll surely be able to help... :)

A sandstorm would be hilarious after 'buying' the race, stealing it from the heartlands of the sport where the locals actually give a damn, and the event is tied with copiuos consumption amount of alchohol by spectators.

This will be like Bahrain, where the locals turn up at the start to show face, then disappear after the 3rd lap because they are bored. If they turn up in significant numbers at all!

It is the alchohol that makes watching what is an extremely boring sport with no overtaking bearable.

Of course the 5000 Paddock Club people will have free flowing bubbly, and as much to eat and drink as they can gorge on.

For $5000 a head.

LOL, I really find it a waste of money this idea of "Grand Prix." This money would be better off invested in building 21st-century improved infrastructure and transportation. Besides, it's not like Emiratis will pilgrim to this new facility for the sake of the "sport."

Iono. To me, it's just deplorable.
