On the Capture of Osama Bin Laden...

The question is not whether or not Pakistani officials knew about the whereabouts of Bin Laden, but why were they harboring him. Obviously, he was being kept safe in an ISI safehouse. The US was being taken for a ride for all these years. Good on Pakistan and shame on the US for being so feckless up till now.

Sorry, I know not UAE news, but its a story with some relevance here nonetheless--we're part of the larger geopolitical sphere.

Good on Pakistan? Why for pulling one over on the US? Even if you hate the US does that justify harboring a mass murderer? Mass murderer of Muslims I might add.

It was meant more as a an expression of frustration at the US's impotency for having to rely on such a thankless ally. It was a mistake for the US to ever think it should partner with Pakistan on any war on terror.

Hey, they didn't show me Osama's face.No proof. Why should i trust them and not the news that he died a natural death a few years ago? It's amazing how easily politicians take us all for a ride for their own agendas.

Also i don't think the US ever "partnered" with Pakistan and the mere instability in the the country by extremists is proof of that. They've just taken good advantage of corrupt politicians in Pakistan and cause the deaths of their own soldiers for a useless war. Obviously the US govt couldn't give a damn about its own peoples blood.

And what about good old Raymond Davis who had been clearly linked to planning attacks within Pakistan and also murdered people in public? Had a non American spy done the same in America, they would raged war on the spy country in the name of defending their people. Sheesh.

Got nothing against any country here. Just wish that us - regular citizens who aren't politicians wouldn't fall for all the lies that politicians of our countries and of others throw at us and make us bicker with each other. We all live together in the UAE in peace don't we? We are friends with all kinds of nationalities - they are all normal human beings.

@Anonymous talking about Pakistans on the web... grow up. You get scared by the comments some kid has put up on destroying the US and India? Have a look at what people from the US and India are putting on the web then for a change. And stop believing that kids posting things on forums actually control the country.

Just look at the idiotic comments that people put on youtube. Going by the country most of these people live in, shall i generalize that entire nation as a bunch of idiots? I won't. Because i understand that its a particular age group that rights such emotional stuff on the web and they shouldn't be judged but be guided to be more grounded.
