Business school flap a 'breakout moment' for Indian blogosphere

Bloggers + MSM = better media?

The story of IIPM and its battle with JAM and Indian bloggers follows a familiar trajectory here in the U.S.: There's a story in a smallish magazine, picked up and magnified by bloggers, then picked up and magnified by the mainstream media (MSM). This snowball effect has bloggers exulting, and the MSM taking bloggers much more seriously.
Meanwhile, in the UAE we're still waiting for this moment. I guess it could be that there's nothing to pick up and magnify. Possibly, but not necessarily.

Its clear that only confirmed morons have joined IIPM in the past and there will be many confirmed morons who will join IIPM in the future. No amount of blogging can save any moron from joining IIPM. So IIPM management have actually proved that (a) they are morons when they sued and protested. (b) they don’t know that they are morons and need bloggers to tell them that. (c) they don’t know that their students are morons and need bloggers to tell them that.

Why all the talk about "morons"! I don't think the original post here is commenting at all on IIPM (whatever that is!). It's making the point that blogging in the UAE has yet to have the exposure and impact that it does in other countries--and it would be nice if it did. On these points I agree.

It's clear that anonymous is confirming the beliefs some critics have about blogs being more about name calling than about using facts. Let's stick to facts and reasoned analysis, please.
