OMG! They are the WORST!!

When I purchased my line, I told them that I wanted my default language to be ENGLISH simply because I can NOT read Arabic... And they just send me sms after sms... IN ARABIC!!!

What's up with them?
I get like a DOZEN sms a day from them!!

Can't wait to see if this email worked :-) Actually... Will probably do the same without waiting to see if this email works! lol!! ;-)

Love your special touch: 17 times :-) Now that alone is a very clear message... Hope they get it!

i tried this before with their call center, we stand no chance.

same old story, they are just useless, my most recent example is that i bought a wasel sim card a week ago for some guests, it is still not online, calls to 101 always get the same reply, we are working on it, it has been escalated, blabla. no refund or exchange of course.

a telecom company that cant even sell something as simple as a working sim card on a prepaid phone, that is a very unique thing...

Ahhh Etispam.

I am particularly fond of the offers that come through that have no correlation to what I would actually want. What's the point of getting all the information at point of sign up and then totally disregarding any of it as a tool to target a market.

I'm sure India is a wonderful place, but all my Indian friends are right here in the good ol' UAE, so why the hell do I need rates that would allow me to call India cheaply?

How about cheap rates to Australia? That would help me immensely... (it says I'm Australian on the application - so, to extrapolate: it would necessarily follow that the ONLY rates I would be interested in that would allow me to call 'home' would probably be those to Australia)

As to the card thing - I went to a pretty new booth here in Abu Dhabi - at Al Wahda mall, in order to purchase a prepaid top-up card.

Conversation went something like this:

"Hello"
"HELLO siiir"

"Um, hi, can I please have a 50dhs prepaid for my phone"
(holds phone up to show offending out of credit unit)
(dig a crisp 50 out of my wallet)

"We don't stock them"
"You don't stock what? My phone?... no.. I just need a card"
"We don't stock the cards"
"But..you're an Etisalat booth..."
(I started to giggle - thankfully she did too)

Pointing at some destination above her head she suggested that I should go to Jumbo or Techzone.
I smiled and thanked her, and went upstairs, and purchased a phone card from Jumbo as suggested, a company that also sells Du cards.

I find it amazing that if I were to be walking along Hamdan St, Abu Dhabi, there is a very real chance that some dude would pop out of an alley way with a veritable belt of phone cards, and yet the pretty looking new booth doesn't have one.

Funny.

Oh man, story of my life!
This is hilarious.

Haha! Etisalat really needs some grave courses to common customer support and satisfaction. Lol @ them XD

What Itisalot needs is some real, meaningful commercial competition. They would then have a choice: either improve radically in every respect, or die quickly and unmourned.

Ahh the famous etisalat reach around!

You forgot to mention that they send SMS spam when you are roaming and then charge you per SMS for receiving their crapSMS that you did not ask for in the first place!

I have a theory that I get more SMS messages from etisalat when am roaming , or maybe its because I see each SMS on my phone bill and go arrrggghhhhh!!!1!
