The beach is gone

Is the last 'free' part of the beach near the Burj Al Arab disappearing?

B thankful you still have a decent "free" beach. Abu-Dhabi is an island... a piece of land surrounded by water... and we have... NO DECENT BEACHES.

Nice. I am still trying to figure out what the hell the huge ass man made island in front of the corniche is. anyone?
