This makes lots of sense as part of a policy to incentivise the use of public transportation.

Cool...Now all we need is for the taxies to actually stop for the passengers...

i*maginate :) Well, there are occasions when the car is in the garage for a day and you can't be bothered to rent a car for just one day.. you will either have a second car or will take a taxi.

But yes, I rarely have pleasant experiences in ones. I don't really enjoy being in the company of depressed or angry people. Not to mention the odors that some have. Yeah, thank you very much.

it took 1 hour for a taxi to stop from me yesterday

imagine...standing like a dog on the street waving at them and they just pass by

DE - yeah I know all that crap and taxis are a last resort for me. I would rather pay double Salik and ride a camel under the gates. At least I'd be deriving lengthy pleasure that way.

Hopefully next step will be no salik on Fridays and national holidays, like paid parking...

P.S. why comment moderation is still enabled? I remember it was enabled long time ago but didn't imagine it will stay enabled all that long! Is it going to be a permanent rule?
