You don't need an NOC to change jobs in Tecom. But Tecom authorities still won't process anything unless you've got one.

And you still effectively need one now:

As for the employees who go for sponsorship transfer they still need the consent of their former sponsors, but not in the form of an NOC.

“The approval of the old sponsor in this case is obtained as soon as he signs on the sponsorship transfer application form which should also bear the signature of the new sponsor in order to be accepted and processed by the ministry.

“There’s no need for a separate letter from the old sponsor stating he has no objection to the transfer,” the source explained, refuting reports that appeared in the English daily Gulf News about the need for an NOC even after the lifting of the six-month ban.


Yeah-hut. So asswipe employers that refused the NOC before are just as able to do so now. It makes not a jot of fking difference.
