'I will not use Blogger.com, MySpace.com, Blog.com, Spaces.MSN.com and 360.yahoo.com' - PledgeBank

'I will not use Blogger.com, MySpace.com, Blog.com, Spaces.MSN.com and 360.yahoo.com' - PledgeBank

Since I am wedded to blogger.com, I won't be signing the pledge. But I do believe we should let blogger.com know our displeasure over the omission of Palestine. You may not always agree with him, but Tigerhawk makes the case well.

I wonder where the list of locations comes from. I doubt the companies come up with it on their own. Is it a default list based upon some Internet convention?

Well, MySpace is blocked anyway.

I think we need to steel ourselves for the likely day that Blogger.com is blocked too. I hope everyone is keeping offline archives of their blogs, if they want to hold on to them.

Oh give it a rest. The most likely reason why palestine is not included is because it was not in the ISO list they usually use. Of course, as a country Palestine does not exist, but the Occuped Palestinian Territories does exist and does have a country code (ps). So, it should be quite easy and non-controversial to have it added, without having to go all out and do this 'pledge' business. A simple reminder to the blog services in question would get that done.

Not sure why people like to dramatize simple problems.

read the stupid pledge thing properly, blogger has already changed it.

thats the first online petition i've ever seen that has changed something, that makes about 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of them successful, everyone go sign the unblock flickr petition, i think i'm going to make a "block flickr petition" just to be different.
