Inquiring minds want to know

Gulf News:
Ras Al Khaimah: An American journalist working for an English daily from Abu Dhabi has run over an Egyptian security guard at the entrance of a university here because the guard denied him access to the campus.

The security guard did not allow entry to the journalist identified as "J." because he did not have an "entrance permission" which is a must for visitors as per the university regulations.
Inquiring minds want to know:
  • Which RAK university?
  • Which English language daily from Abu Dhabi?
  • Who is "J." the American journalist?

Pft. Suckers.

It was none other than J. Jonah Jameson! Spiderman's favorite news-man, publisher of the Daily Bugle.

Duh!

As the topic is centered around an English journalist, I concluded that the University must be belonging to Arts. This should be mostly George Mason University Ras Al Khaimah Campus (GMU-RAK).
The think the English Language daily must be Gulf News which is the popular English daily there.
Don't know about the last one.
This is an interesting puzzle.

There's only one English daily out of Abu Dhabi. Its the National...

..and I am sure the Gulf News journalists were laughing their heads off when they wrote this story.
