Dubai Hero Protestor let Down by Twitter Users

Activist and Hero Dubai Protestor Jean Von Blanc arrived at the Workers Rights protest in Dubai only to find known else bothered to show up.

When asked about the reasons Jean replied “It is really disappointing, after months and months of preparation and coordination the whole thing ends with a whimper”, he added “I blame twitter and twitter users for the low – Non Existent – turnout, laborers and workers that want to improve their living and working conditions in Dubai should take their tweets and retweets seriously before expecting me, or other human rights organizations to take them seriously again.”

1. Learn how to spell.

before expecting me, or other human rights organizations to take them seriously again

2. He (one man) is an organization?

3. Deport him. Once again, I am so tired of foriegners bitching about things that just isnt thir business. If a worker doesnt like the way he is treated, leave. instead of 800 AED a month he can have 6 a month in his home country.

If everyone worried about their own stuff rather than everyone else' the world would become a much better place one person at a time. But no, workers' rights, KFC, wars... everything is everyone's business it would seem.

You know ABIT,

There was a time when I agreed with just about everything you said, as I sat here reading these comments, rather silently.

But I have to say, now, after spending just about 2 years away from Dubai and in a normal place that has all rights to carry the pride and patriotism you so clearly do, combined with the modesty to not be arrogant about it (something our countries don't have in common), you and the likes of you are exactly what is wrong with UAE's society. You'll never see it, because it's in your head, your skin, and your soul. It's a pity really.

P.S.
"Deport him. Once again, I am so tired of foriegners bitching about things that just isnt thir business.

Before you start thrashing another person's English abilities, you might want to learn to type, a little about punctuation and perhaps a take a few grammar lessons as well.

I think you need to learn how to spell and use punctuation before criticizing someone elses spelling.......

(b)efore expecting me, or other human rights organizations to take them seriously again(?)

There you go...all your grammatical as well as punctuation errors put in () for your reference. Have a nice day.

Tainted Female & English Teacher:

Did you not know?

This is a new generation of the UAE's self-appointed go-getter guardians. They are the crème de la crème of a place where dementia is pretty rife these days.

Welcome to the circus and enjoy these clowns that stop by to make an a$$ out of themselves. And if you don't like it, you may leave or step over to a new show to catch a glimpse of their other stellar performances.

Well done boys & girls, you are all doing a great job making your country & its rulers proud.

Dear Friend,

Or should I say host, I feel the use of your language ( Deport Him ) is really not required. You must understand that many of us Foreigners have come here a long time ago when Dubai was just an island. We left our family and friends to work here and bring the country to where it is. You being rude to us is really not going to help. I have many local friends who appreciate what we have done.

Please also remember you are still a minority, if you end up deporting all of us, you will have to run things yourself and honestly, I don't think you people like to get your hands dirty...if you knwo what I mean....

So, next time, please choose your works properly and be a little mature in use these blogs, don't mak enemies out of friends...after all, we are all here to live in harmony..right..?

I don't know what's more amusing - the original post or the comments!

Sarcastic Guy - you should really have called yourself Satirical Guy to be more accurate!

Apparently satire is yet another thing that has yet to be fully understood in the UAE, along with eyebrow tweezers.

Actually no, Im here to mess with your head.

Still a minority? So now I am being threatened? I'll make a deal with you, meet me in AD and we'll see who end up in the ER, yes?

I think the jokes on the sarcastic guy. Nobody got the post and ABIT humped...I mean jumped on it and then put the comments on fire.

ABIT=1
Sarcastic dude=0

I think protests such as these are pointless especially when you dont have a direct stake in the issue. I am a 100% sure there are other things in his own country that deserve the same attention. Instead he could have spent the traveling expenses on a charity that would have done more good to this world and countribute the wasted time on community service.

your an idiot if u think u can change the world with some glue, a piece of wood and cardboard

Thats exactly what I am trying to say, your being so negative. No one is threatening you, Why would you say that. You have just taken it the wrong way. I am giving you the facts, your government gives you the facts, Don't you read the News... UAE citizens are a minority in they own country, sad, but true. I am not making this up. I have posted a link for your refernece and can post a lot more if that does not convience you.

About meeting you and and seeing who reaches the ER first, that my friend is called a "Threat" and honestly, if we ever met, you'd be sorry you said that. If your an Emarati, that you should not act that way. I am born and raised in this country, so UAE is more my country than yours, so please, don't disgrace this country by making cheap remarks, and understand what we are talking about here.
