There's a possibility of some medals too, in spite of it being such a small team. Good luck to them.

Good luck to all of them. To even get to the level to represent your country is an honor.

i wish the BBC would broaden their coverage a bit and show us other countries in their tv coverage.

i wish all teams well but really the bbc is silly on this matter.. like no other country matters.. ah

i would actually love a post about the relations between iran and the UAE in light of iran's threat to close the gulf

Habibi Lirun.. as much as I love Iranian architecture but Iran has always been preceived as the main threat and bully north of our little gulf... always..

They are extremist from the outset, dabble in nukes, annex islands, threaten ships, and hold hostages etc...

Not my biggest fan.

However, I really love the iranian people, they are something special.. and some of my closest friends are iranians :)

Small team, big ambitions, wishing them all the best.

Actually it's struck me that they're pretty much all Dubaians, it would be nice to see the other emirates fielding a few candidates.

Congratulations to Bahrain for their first Gold!

Something to smile about, across the GCC.
