A friend and I have decided to walk up to Everest Base Camp as a way of keeping fit. We have now decided that we will use this opportunity to raise some money for Nepalese charities. We will still pay for our own trip but are recruiting volunteers to help raise some money for orphanages.
All our activities will be in Fujeirah/East Coast area. We are planning a "country fair", a mad hatters ball. We have a lot of volunteers to help with putting these together so that we save as much money for the charities.
Does anyone know what the procedure is for volunteers to raise money for a charity outside the UAE?

Oh - and volunteers from other Emirates are welcome!
Hmmm,
We've climbed kili, cycled from Bangkok to Cambodia and led seeral group hugs here in Dubai with Gulf4good...
Their charity (we know the founders if you need to make contact) raise funds for charities outside of Dubai so legally maybe a great place to start...
Just contact us through GO! Smell the flowers!

Just a thought....
Flowers.
Thanks Jim, I know of Gulf for Good because my friend Carol did the Bangkok to Cambodia cycling trip and I helped her to raise funds. I think they do a great job but we want to support specific charities in Nepal and its more personal.
Hello Mita:
Say, if I want to contribute to this charity, how do I go about in getting it done?
Thank you Kyle. Once we set up all the legalities - you could participate in the activities we are planning to help raise the funds. Or if you live in Fujeirah area, we need volunteers to help with the organising of events etc. All help would be welcome. I will post on this blog once its all ready to go
you can make a deal with one of the charity organizations in UAE like Dar Al Ber, Red Crescent and Beit Al Khair..
Good Luck in your Fund Raiser..
Thanks Candle for Hope - will check it out
