Why on earth is it so much on the real owners of the land to fight back? How the real owners are are terrorists for not accepting the injustice? Why is it ok for the owner’s women and kids to be killed on their land? In what logic a person isn’t supposed to hate who is responsible for him being homeless and hurt? Is it ok for someone to come kick you out of your house and torture your family? What if that person did that to your whole country??
It is funny when I see these radical opinions about Palestinians and I’m sure the owners of these opinions didn’t really think of these questions, but if they really asked themselves these questions and still came up with the same conclusion then wow.
I value the real men of Gaza and I pay them my respects, not only me but all the Arabs and Muslims I know share this opinion with me. Being neutral about our brothers and sisters being slaughtered on their own land isn’t an option for us.

The Killing Zone - the reality of Palestinian suffering:
About this video,
"A clip from "Dispatches: The Killing Zone" (Channel 4 UK, 2003, director Rodrigo Vazquez), showing perhaps one of the most tragic of several documented cases of Palestinian civilian casualties of Israel's 'war on terror' - even though this victim, a schoolgirl shot through the head while sitting in class in a UN-run school in Gaza, survives her injuries. When she awakes from coma she and her family find out the brain injury she suffers has made her blind."

I have removed the embedded youtube videos you had and replaced them with links to the video.
I must also bring to your attention that this is not the "middle east peace process debate community blog"-- there are many other places people can discuss this issue. Please make this the last of your posts on this topic.
I don't see a problem with those kinds of topics.
Well I've seen lots of topics that don't represent the UAE community here, actually I've seen many anti-UAE posts that may not represent what we as Emaraties think. But it was Ok as long as this is a blog were everybody are free to post what they want under the agreed terms.
Why did you remove the videos without asking me first? Why are you constantly changing in my posts?
This isn't OK and you have no right to do so if there is no reason for that. In future I would appreciate it if you asked me first before changing any element in my posts.
proud emirati: I'm very happy for you.

Because - unfortunately for you - I do have the right to edit your posts; I do not edit the meaning of posts, but I do remove embedded videos/flash content on occassion, I have done it before. Put it this way, there are now 5 embedded youtube videos on the front page of this blog.
The problem with 5 embedded videos on one page is that some people do not want to see them; perhaps because it doesn't interest them, or because some people don't have 13 jiggabytes of RAM and embedding a flash applet onto every single damn post increases load times.
Video's should generally be linked to on this blog.
I'm sorry I don't have the time to individually contact people and wait three weeks for the next time they want to check how their collection of penis enlargment spam is going, but when stuff is posted incorrectly here, it's much easier to just edit stuff straight away and notify people in the commenting section.
By writing on this blog you are surely aware that admins can edit and delete your posts?
And I'm sure if you had such a problem with the content of this blog you'd have stopped posting here long long ago.
"I've seen many anti-UAE posts that may not represent what we as Emaraties think"
This argument never gets old... what you're saying is that your opinion represents the opinion of every single national in this country? The same goes for the title of this post ("We are with gaza")
I am now going to edit this post and change the embedded video's to links, please do not change them back again.
I understand your point and thank you for explaining. Maybe you should have mentioned that in your comments as an alternative to emailing people.
You know the problem isn't with the editing you do as much as it is with the attitude you show! Secret Dubai has edited many of my posts in the past and she was very elegant and polite in the way she let me know and I respect here for that.
I consider myself a daughter of His Highness Sheik Zayed and he had always shown by words and by action that he is on the side of Palestinians. The same state is being shown the government of UAE and the locals of this country along with most of the Arab/Muslim nationalities on this land in addition to many other non Arab Muslim expatriates.
Apparently you aren't on that list as many other bloggers here aren't, so no need to be angry as I didn't mean you guys on my "WE" and I have explained that briefly in the 1st Gaza post . Moreover, I said in my comment: “I’ve seen many anti-UAE posts that may not represent what we as Emaraties think.” Then I said it is OK: “ But it was Ok as long as this is a blog were everybody are free to post what they want under the agreed terms."
My point was if it was OK for some people to do it why isn't OK for me to do it as well?
Tell me something, UAE Alias, how is posting biased videos on this blog going to help bring peace to the Israel/Palestine region? All you're doing is spreading hate and promoting misunderstanding of the other side's opinions and actions.
I dunno how you can say you're "with" Gaza if you're doing nothing whatsoever to help the Gazans.
doesnt this post exist as a comment just 3 posts down?
this isnt even a post.. its a centreblog spread.. hmm.. creative thought marketing..
wonder what would happen to the blog if everyone did this..
ok so basically comment 70 on the previous post - made at 09 February, 2008 00:06..
it seems uae alias isnt happy with the level of response to the comment..
oh ok.. thats why its been reposted..
ok go for it people.. im sitting this one out..
have a great week.. ciao
I always see the “UAE Community Blog” as the “Expats Community in the UAE”. Many of the expats are not interested in what’s going on in Palestine.
Quite frankly, this topic doesn't really interest me. When it does, I definitely don't want to read about it in the UAE Community Blog.
This post should have been deleted, not edited. uae alias, samuarism has actually been nice to let it slide. I know I wouldn't have if I were the admin.
Please note that this has nothing to do with my opinion or yours on the subject. This is purely an issue of relevancy.
UAE Alias:
It’s people like you, your posts and comments that prompts the admin here to disable anonymous comments, or even start moderating comments. All because of a biased chip on your shoulder, all because of your ‘it’s them against us and vice versa’. For once, why can’t you and elements alike ‘just be’ and debate like an intelligent person on worthwhile topics instead of issues that have been debated over and over again and all that’s come out, was shit-facing each other and jaw swings.
At the end of the day, you’re nothing but a popularity router towards yourself.
I’m sorry to say this but you’re just a wannabe that won’t be!
And do you know why? Because all you’re interested in is starting a fight and raking up number of hits to your label.
So, in the words of the wise, have a nice day!
lol @ Hatem
UAE ALIAS, well done.
Loooool Hatem....you are so right....not only its only for expats, we have people who don't even live in the UAE or even remotely related to it commenting on here.....if such issues should not be discussed here because it is not really "related" to the UAE, then people who are not living in the UAE should not be commenting either...see it goes both ways.
Great job as always UAE Alias...you are providing the verbal support to these people and thats the least we can do as Arabs and Muslims....Don't let the haters stop you from doing your thing;)
I don't see anything 'wrong' with uae_alias posting on an issue which is relevant to the UAE community. It may not be of interest to all, like any post here, but obviously created a lengthy debate on the post below, so I don't see what the prob on doing another post on it is, though it seems like the debate is over for the time being given the post below on the same topic...
& now the discussion here is whether uae_alias should be posting topics of a political nature that concerns the UAE...which I find ironic, since a lot of the posts here concern politics and justice!
I unreservedly support UAE Alias's right to post this on the UAE community blog and make a complete and utter fool or herself in full view of the community.
Welcome to Pallywood
Can't wait for Gaza #3 UAE ALIAS.
Well, it's quite ironic how the slobs in here express their dismay over the appalling act of posting such stuff on the community blog.
The moderator has allowed for the post to go through, albeit with some adjustment, then why some others are so offended by this post? Can’t you just save us the chagrin and scroll up or down?
Meanwhile his Excellency the Interior Minister of 3zrael (sorry…Israel) has extended his generosity toward the flocks of Gaza by giving them one day notice before taking action:
The Israeli interior minister, Meir Sheetrit, said the army should choose a neighbourhood of Gaza, give its residents a day to leave, and then destroy it.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7237424.stm
That's a huge leap of improvement toward peace, departing from his earlier stipulated 3 seconds notice before the Apaches usually open fires at the terrorist Ayyyyrrrabbs.
I want to thank all the people who supported my post, who are btw the same people I said this post is representing.
As for the people who don't agree with me posting this, I wish you didn't take it so personally.
For everybody:
You opinion is yours so hold on to that. I respect all opinions but I only hold on to my opinion like all of you.
All of you have a great evening
I support the idea of UAE Alias being allowed to post whatever they want as well. Everyone should have a voice, including, well -- everyone.
One of the things I find most amusing about this little brouhaha (other than Sammy once again getting all Third Reich with the rules) is the fact that pretty much nobody spoke to the gist of the post.
So in that spirit I'd be willing to be the first to take a shot at one of the more idiotic pronouncements in the post:
"Why on earth is it so much on the real owners of the land to fight back?"
I don't even know where to begin -- what about Manhattan? Or Mexico City? Should the Native Americans get them back? Canada was once a colony of the UK, the state of Florida a part of Spain. I've even heard tell that Algeria was a department of the French Republic. Here's a question sure to make your head explode -- wasn't there a Hebrew country (or two) in the Levant before there were even Arabs in the Levant? And weren't there Canaanites before the Jews? Didn't THEY have an actual country as well? And the Persians after them? Hell, they had more than a country, they had an empire. What about the Philistines? Or the Romans? Not to mention the four hundred years of Turkish rule.
[My personal vote would be for for the Romans to return. You think you've got it bad now? Just wait until you get out of line and the Pope lets the Swiss Guards get all medieval on you.]
In other words, shut up with the stolen land argument already. You didn't lose the LAND, you lost the WARS for the land. So stop with the pity party and the outgoing Katyusha rockets and get on with the process of forming a country.
Look, I feel for the people of Gaza but the violence has got to stop. And don't pull that "they started it" crap. You both have to stop it NOW, it's getting you nowhere.
The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral,
begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.
Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.
Through violence you may murder the liar,
but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.
Through violence you may murder the hater,
but you do not murder hate.
In fact, violence merely increases hate.
So it goes.
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,
adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness:
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
