I'll just let Bright Bus Transport (which is owned by STS, which is owned by GEMS) hike the fees by 100%. Holy shit..all I have to do is to create more front companies: text-books, uniforms, hiring teachers, provide cafeteria services..the possibilities are endless..poor KHDA bureaucrats, what do they know about my Bahamas/Cayman style of operation?

I'm going to be the biggest sheikh in the UAE and you can kiss my hairy ....!

An Einstein moment. Or should I say a NICK moment.
HAHHAHAHHAHA! Thats so funny.

In the news today
Buff News reporter was at the office of Varkey to seek Mr.Sunny's views on being mercilessley lampooned by the brilliant minds of the UAE Blogosphere.
Mr.Varkey who has been busy with a line of coconut hair oil, said to increase IQ with just 99 bottles, was unavailable for comment.

wow... is this the big shot educationalist? and why is racism growing on this board again? and Nick, your photoshop brush marks are very obvious to the left of Sunny's head. And the text lines don't seem to be oriented toward a 'vanishing point' like parralel lines in normal perspectives do.

Dubai Jazz, I don't think there's any racism in connection with Mr Sunny. Everybody who has ever had anything to do with him (employees, parents, students, contractors) will hate him til the day he dies.

Hate...perhaps not? Dislike, yup.

For those who don't know the background story:
KHDA (something like the Education ministry)carried out assessments of all schools in Dubai. Those inspections were carried out by licensed third parties from the UK for GCSE curricula, from India for the CBSE and from the International Baccalaureate (Geneva or UK) for the IB curricula.
Those schools that were assessed as 'good' can raise their fees max. 12% next year. Half the schools in Dubai are 'satisfactory' and can raise less then that (I think 5%).Only five schools in Dubai made the 'outstanding' grade and can raise their fees more.

NONE of the GEMS schools is classified 'outstanding', in fact about half of GEMS schools are ony 'satisfactory' (Surprise!) - and this is the real reason for Sunny Varkey's beef with the KHDA: it curtails his revenue.

Thanks for the background, nick. It makes it meaningful for me now and hilarious too!
