Emirates Group announced that it is going to deliver a new baby.
lol @ bridge for love and interaction. I bet with my foot that there will not no love if Air Arabia wasn't there. Obviously Sharjah Airport took millions of passengers from Dubai Airport.
"Emirates welcomes this announcement, and any new Dubai airline operation. Dubai's Open Skies policy encourages the growth of air transport, which has and continues to contribute to the development of this city. The new airline, a low cost carrier, will complement the international air services already provided by Emirates. As Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates and Chairman of the new low-cost airline announced today, I can confirm that Emirates will extend its support to the new company, he said.

Saying Goodbyes too soon, don't ya think? :) I do think Air Arabia shall keep flying & growing. Hopefully SHJ airport shall help the airline grow. Excluding recent renovations, the airport, and surrounding premises remain, pretty the same thru decades. Each time I drive by the airport, it looks the way it was '79.
To add, I think, most fliers of AA reside in SHJ/AJ and RAK - given the traffic to DXB airport, AA should do fine I think?
Proud Emirati, would you please refrain from pasting an entire hyperlink text. It takes away the originality of this page.
Thank you.
^^ I would anony but I don't know how !!
Proud Emirati, please follow the instructions in the second rectangular box in this page.
Good luck.
^^ I hope that makes you happy "annoying", I mean "anonymous" :P
Well I hope Air Arabia stays, at least it should be given credit for pioneering this sector in the region :-)
Yup, true that DG - AA has done very well, give credit where due :) I have nothing against Emriates's new baby, though do think the baby shall one day "grow up" i.e. turn expensive. Not everyone can afford Emirates, some need airliners like AA.
so Emirates considered the new airline as an illegitimate child !!
What?
i live in dubai and use air arabia a lot. as long as you are against the traffic, it takes 20 minutes longer to get to the airport. the queues are much, much shorter and the airline cheap and cheerful. on flights to bahrain, for example, return fare is usually less than aed500. emirates is always at least three times as expensive.
