What a City!

For those not so familiar with Dubai, that's Safa Park in the foreground and the towering Burj Dubai. along with other towering edifices in the background.

Well i agree with the fast growth of Dubai. they say in last 10 years they have build 300 high rised buildings. Plus i went to dubai in feb and they say that the traffic to dubai will be 60 million people each year from current level of 35 million right now.

Do you see the tree on the right side, the one at the end of the straight path with the circular patch of dirt at the end of it? Do you see the tree right there at the end of the circular patch? There is a commemorative dirham buried on the northeast side of that tree, located about three inches from the tree trunk and buried about five inches into the ground.

I just thought you might want to know. But if you find it, please put it back exactly where you found it so that someone else can have a chance to find it, too.

Ref previous comments about it being a great view of the city - there are a gazillion places in the city from which an equally beautiful view is possible!

Dubai is growing at a terrific pace but unfortunately the traffic in Dubai is killing.
