Passengers refuse to fly until Asians are removed

The Daily Mail:
The trouble in Malaga flared last Wednesday as two British citizens in their 20s waited in the departure lounge to board the pre-dawn flight and were heard talking what passengers took to be Arabic. Worries spread after a female passenger said she had heard something that alarmed her.

Passengers noticed that, despite the heat, the pair were wearing leather jackets and thick jumpers and were regularly checking their watches.

Initially, six passengers refused to board the flight. On board the aircraft, word reached one family. To the astonishment of cabin crew, they stood up and walked off, followed quickly by others.

Just shocking. Anyone looking vaguely brown and scruffy is in trouble. The next travel rewuirements will be for those with non white skin to be fully shaven, and dressed in a skin tight t-shirt and shorts.

Well, why would you wear unnecessary attire when you know that everyone is tense? Seems to me like the couple were just trying to get on the news.

I would walk out if I were there. I have no intentions of taking a chance because some idiot thinks killing me and scores of civilians furthers his cause.

I would have walked off the plane too. I mean, leather jackets are just SO last year, aren't they. Who would want to be seen with those losers?

Now, if they'd been wearing hoods and trainers, I would have been more than happy to sit down alongside them...

You can't blame people for being on edge. I doubt i'd have got on the flight!

This is super for all closet racists and islamophobists out there. As soon as they spot a dark skinned person, they can just pull out the old "they spoke arabic and are wearing too much clothes in my opinion" card. Problem solved. Perhaps we should start with special dress code limitations?

May-Aug, no leather jackets (even though Britain's crap weather with occasional frosty attacks and rain is a major factor even in the summer). What else? "Must comb hair and use gel"

It's just dis-heartening. The police have checked them twice. Enough! If that's not enough what else should they have to do to ensure they aren't carrying anything dangerous on them?

Shaykhspeara Sha'ira,

I'm black and have experienced enough 'racism' and prejudice in my life to know what it feels like. There are those who play the victim and those who adapt and develop a thick skin. I am from the latter group.

If your daughter comes to you swearing that there is a monster under her bed.. and you check it twice.. does she necessarily feel safer now? Hardly.

The point is, I have no reason to trust the competence of airport security nor the police for that matter. All I can think of is, MY OWN LIFE.

In a sickening way, for all those years that those very 'Arabs' who feel so victimized should remember how they treated others.

Maybe all this is just Karma.

But they were not "Arabs". They were Asians?

And should they have been Arabs, what Arabs are we talking about? Treating whom in what way? The Gulf Arabs and how they treated Asian work labour? Your argument is not making any sense then? Because it was the Asians who were in this case discriminated against.

And since when do we have collective punishment for the wrongs of some?

I see your point but it seems to me you haven't learnt enough from your own experiences of racism to be able to think beyond yourself and your fears.

You are entitled to feel the way you do, and do you think I am not scared when I fly, muslim or no muslim (I am not arab), but when my fear takes me to heights where I ask people to leave a plane based on their ethnicity(when they aren't even carrying handluggage anyway and have been checked twice) then I need to question myself, and not their dress code, and perhaps I need to think of other ways to travel because it is clear that a majority did not act irrationally nor did a majority ask for the removal of them.

Hey guys, do some researches, read about terrorists who blew themselves up to kill other people, look at their pics and the way they are dressed and see if they look suspicious. Point is they don't, those who are least suspected appearance wise are the ones who usually carry the surprises, the deadly surprises.
