Fall of Four Great Empires

I have been busy lately with work and events happening around me so did not get a chance to post something on religion but I wanted to post this. Some people would say why post it on a religious blog, I am a human and I do follow religion but I also live in this world that is around me and Islam doesn’t stop humans to follow cricket. I am a die hard cricket fan; I have been since I was a kid. For some people cricket is a boring game but for me and millions of people around the world it has been a craze since I was a kid. Lots of events passed by in these 30 years, some were sad and some were happy. But unfortunately I witnessed the fall of four great empires in a single day and cricket won’t be the same again. Not in my lifetime at least……

At UAE community, i guess the issue has sprung up about my postings by some individuals who has a problem with my Islamically motivated Postings and Cricket postings.... i would like to tell them if they have a problem then they can check out other posts cause they are the only ones having a problem, one perticular person has issues regarding Islam cause he is a Hindu, i never posted anything against any religion and all my posting were in good faith regardless of being islamic or not......

i have come to a conclusion that people have issues with Islam living in a islamic country that in my sense is hypocrisy anyways i would block my comments on my postings in Uae community and if anyone has a problem with my postings please feel free to comment on my blog i think that will be a good idea....cause with due respect the the ownwers of this blog i wouldnt want my postings to effect them in anyway...i also dont understand people, if you dont like something then move on why do u have to create an issue and post silly comments no one is pointing a gun on anyones head to read a perticular post....if you dont like it then ignore it....

and about expats comment ...i dont understand an issue regarding my cricket post, as someone said more then 75% of asians are part of the uae community they all love cricket and if someone wants to post something about any other sports which european or arabs like then what is the issue...

Samuraisam : i have given my reasons .....and i emailed you as well... comments good or bad are always welcome by me ..it doesnt matter to me at all...i was just thinking about the owners..if they dont mind then let it be on..thnks and take care

so comments were deleted (fair enough).. still don't get it. what's the policy?

Anonymous said...

@ANONYMOUS :policy is ; read what you like and ignore what u dont :) why are you wasting your time on issues which are not relevent ..... i guess you have a religion issue with fahad, it can clearly be understood with ur comments.

I feel strangely honoured - my post was number 6 in a series of 12 and the only one not to be deleted! Might there be something in the Paranormal tradition of respectful levity, after all?

oh boy.. no one seems to get that it has nothing to do with religion. i just want to know what the uae community blog is about.. and no one seems to know.

I didn't delete comments; I believe Fahad did.

Preferably stuff posted on the community blog will have some relevance to the UAE/blogging.

samuarism: thank you for clarifying what i thought was true. i am a stickler for order and proper categorization.

is it possible to have some kind of simplistic charter for the uae community where some of those rough guidelines are being explicitly stated. again, i don't mind if the purpose of this blog is to blog about whatever you please as long as you have some sort of connection to the uae.. or none at all. i'm not the one to decide. i just wanted to be clear so people who want to visit can decide if this is a site they want to keep visiting or not.

as far as i'm concerned, if i continue to see posts about things not related to the uae, i would consider having another community blog that would talk to people who would rather get their 'other' issues news from elsewhere.

anonymous: yes i deleted your comments for it were religiously motivated and u dont seem to understand \,that if you dont like something then you should move on and stop spaming with your good for nothing comments... if you like something read it if not then ignore it.... respect People of uae and its religion if you live here if not move on to some other country ..this is my last answer to your comment cause you are not worth it as anonymous #2 said u dont seem to understand the point..tk care and thanks for commenting :)u have all the time in the world i think to waste on silly issues but we dont..n u voiced your opinions and if the owners do something about it good enough if not then hard luck ...

Fahad said...

thanks for your concern anonymous:) i wish u good luck for the future... i guess you are the only who has to leave this blog...everyone else seems ok with it..take care

@samuraisam : as far as i know uae community talks about UAE diarists ...and they consist of every race, religion and nationality ..i dont understand anonymous persons issue ..if he doesnt like his posts then he shouldnt read it..its not that its full of his postings, there are other posts as well and we have a choice to read them or not...if he has a problem with it then he should be the one leaving the blog alone..fahad is a uae diarist and he has all rights to voice his opinions...im not a muslim but we all are part of the same community, and we should learn to live together and know about each other, fahads blog provides us that chance to learn about Islam..after all UAE is a islamic country...

This is really beginning to piss me off; it doesn't help having people leave "i told you so" type messages. Anyway...

lonely in Dubai: You're perfectly right in saying he has every right to post what he wants to, within reason. As I've explained to him in private via email, its perhaps not such a good idea to cross post as often as he does.

Thank you for the news update regarding the religion of the UAE.

Fahad does not have 'all' rights to voice his opinion and neither do I. That is a fact.

Fahad, reading this post again, I'd say it is a personal post, you're writing as if it is for a personal blog, you're writing as if it is for your own blog and I can't see why you're linking to it here; it isn't terribly bad if you do so once in a while, but as I've said to you doing it to often takes away from news-like postings people may have. Though this may do with a sport that is extensively enjoyed within the UAE by some (no, I don't know who the hell donald bradman is despite being australian) this post is about cricket in general and in another country so I'd say that it is bordering on irrelevent. Perhaps if it was about a cricket match in the UAE, or the UAE team or somesuch, then it'd be more relevent.
(if I appear to be giving mixed messages, I apologise, the comment deletion thing followed by a busyish day has led to a lot of confusion on my part, however the above should be considered final say)

Fahad said...

the events have confused me as well :) just cause of one person and biased opinions about my postings..i see lots of cross postings in UAE blog already the only reason it is done by me is that the articles i write are bit longer..... at first one perticular person started talking about my islamic posts thn cricket...i want to clarify if you talk about the uae news then the recent world cup is in the news all around the world and more then half of UAE is interested in it...they all watch it here...i still dont understand why i have been picked on...i have posted few cross posts and most of the people gave me a nice response from your uae community....anyways this is final word for me as well comment have reached at a level that its getting dangerous.... i hope samaraisum u understand what i mean...i m treated differently just cause one person has voiced his opinion, while majority doesnt have a problem..i also understood your email...off for now ...

Hi Sam - please don't get stressed out - if there is anything I can help you with re: the community blog please let me know

I think you and SD has done an amazing job with the community blog - and would not wish either of you have any added stress with fellow bloggers.
