Save Jumeirah Beach Petition

Apologies if someone has already posted this - I've been away. But in my hundreds of emails offering me cheap Viagra and promises of millions from Nigerian princesses, I recieved a link to sign a petition to save Jumeirah Beach. Now I'm not sure it'll have much affect, but hey... it's worth a try! When I had a look they were up to almost 1400 signatures.

"Now I'm not sure it'll have much affect..."

Well I am. I am 100% sure that it is 100% pointless. Someone (probably a member of the ruling family) has claimed that piece of land as their own and there isnt anything you, I, or anyone else can do about it.

I suspect you're right. But can it hurt to try?

Please close the Jumeira and Umm Suqeim beaches. We had enough of white semi nudes ;)

It's Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammad who has taken the beach.

Wasn't he appointed head of the Dubai Exec Council just last year by his dad? Doesn't waste much time does he.

I've spoken to dozens of people down there, nationals and expats, and they are collectively angry at this, but still. Nothing we can do.

One of the two directors/shareholders listed on the DIFC Register for the developer of the site, Zabeel Investments, is Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

I think Dubai could adopt Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi as it's theme song.
