Emirates Today has decided to do something worthwhile for a change - like publishing pictures of motorists jumping the red signal.
And the additional note says ' There are no exeptions'.
Not even black-tinted Landcruisers, I suppose.

what in the hell is an 'exeption'?
they're just photographs from a red-light camera ffs; I'm sure the driver of the Mercedes is absolutely mortified... That is right before he calls up his w-man and gets the impounding period reduced from 7 days to 1.
As I pointed out 6 months + ago here; how many of you are actually going to remember that numberplate, and further more, assuming you do, and you see the driver either in public (because people have their numberplates tatoo'd on their forheads nowadays), what in the hell do you exactly plan on doing?
What in the hell do you exactly plan on doing?
Aluminum Baseball Bat?
I would be happy if I was in the papers
whats the point of this....i just see it as wasted ad revenue
Being that the paid for circ of ET is thought to be barely 10,000. It's not going to have people quaking either is it.
so does that mean even if some rich sheik(& come on , don't deny it, they drive fast as well!!) drives fast& is caught, will he be ticketed or fined or whatever?
They should be able to spell "exception" right... gawd...
Would love to see a 2 figure reg plate on the name and shame list...
This isn't 'name & shame' it'll be 'keep & frame' for the morons who drive like this.
Circulation of EmTod will go up because they'll buy extra copies to send to their friends. I wonder if that's why EmTod are doing it...
Who wants to bet that a hawk-eyed editorial sub committee goes through every photograph to ensure that photographs of vehicles belonging to the high-n-mighty are not published?
Seeing the picture in today's paper. It seems the RTA only has one red light camera that works in Dubai!!
This is a total waste.
Do you see how many people wave frantically at the camera, while calling friends/relatives to 'see them on TV' just before the blast at Iftar?
Now imagine their numbers plates alongwith other details are to be shown on TV. They'll go mad...with happiness.
Last night, I overheard a guy saying that he was going to speed, just to see if his car plate comes on TV or not.
Also, like Sam said, even if I recognized a number plate the nest day...what can I possibly do? And what are the chances that I will remember 'H 13459' 10 minutes after they show it on TV?!
I think they should invest their peanut brain-power into long-term strategies, than do these little PR stunts to increase ad revenue.
