The UAE could use...

... some smog-eating cement.

There is a Green Building Committee and they should be advised of this, as should Emaar, Nakheel, Dubai Properties and all the companies involved in building - it could become a regulation - we really need to clean the environment.

i think it is great that companies are investing in green friendly technologies.. my concern is only that while it "zaps" pollutants it may well be emmitting some sunstances that in 20 years time becomes the subject of asbestos-like litigation..

i am very much in favour of problem solutions taking precedence over sophisticated "bandaging".. at the end of the day we are not talking about a little scratch on the finger.. our global environment has been mutilated..

lets see some action at the source..

i think however that regulation requiring that construction companies engage in green practices and incorporate green friendly products is indeed vital to develop the technologies and to ultimately change how we live..

its been very successful in some parts of australia for example..
