FNC Election winners

The first round winners of the UAE elections are announced. These are from Abu Dhabi and Fujairah; I'm looking forward to Sharjah and Dubai winners :)

ABUDHABI:

1. Amal Abdullah Juma Karam Al Qubaisi (265 votes)
2. Mohammed Mohd Ali Fadhil Al Hameli (304 votes)
3. Ahmed Shabib Mohammed Al Dhaheri (302 votes)
4. Rashid Musabah Al Knidi Al Marrar (194 votes)

FUJAIRAH:

1. Sultan Ahmed Danakhani (122 votes)
2. Ahmed Saeed Al Danakhani (94 votes)

The brisk voting process began simultaneously at 8am in Abu Dhabi and Fujairah — two of the country’s seven emirates that had the distinction of being the first to go to the polls. While Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah will witness voting tomorrow, Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain will go to the polls on Wednesday.

A woman won because in the "district" that she was running in 2 seats were available and only she and another person was "running."

All of this is orchestrated, not unlike the US electoral process, and anyone who can read all the "winners" last names know what I mean.

Just a political ploy to please external political powers so that they will leave us alone.

nothing more, nothing less. No one won who "they" didnt want to win, no one lost, and most UAE nationals, like myself, were home watching Anime DVDs because we already have everything we need and could care less.

I have my schooling taken care for me, my work, my work training, oh, and my 18,000 AED a MONTH medical bills.

I think we have a pretty good situation.

Oh, and for the "temporary worker champions"

Its called globalization, a by product of the open market sstem that the WEST created.

Those workers have 3 choices:

1.stay where they are from and make nothing.
2.Work at nike's outsourced plants and make 2 dollars a day (60 bucks a month)
3. come here and make about 200 bucks a month.

So before you start bitching about how WE are so evil to people, blame yourselves for this situation in the 1st place, and up Adidas' and Dell's worker's salaries, then we'll talk.

;-)
