Have you been feeling sick of what's going on lately in Palestine, Iraq and now Lebanon? Do you feel like shouting? saying no? having a say on what is happening in Lebanon?
Yes! We are going to protest in the Cornish of AbuDahbi on THU, 27 of JUL, 2006 after AL Asr Prayer.
Make sure to bring your own signs, flags, posters, brochures, etc...
Make sure to let as many of your friends aware of this event, the more the better.

Hi Buj. Interesting idea. Does one need a permit from the city to stage such an event. If so, has such a permit been obtained?
^^^Also, the Cornish in AD is a long stretch with grounds lining either side of the road. Where and what time will this thing be and start? Not everyone will know when Al Asr is.
In the UAE you need to take the authorities permission to have a social gathering of any sort as far as I know.
Al Asr prayer is at 3:45 p.m.
is it cornish or corniche?pls specify! thanks!
Corniche. It's a French word. Cornish refers to people and things from the county of Cornwall in south west England.
well well guys i'm only posted via UAE Alias... who I do not think is a member of this blog.. but if u want.. please contact her directly at her blog.
as u might know i am in england not uae and i am just posting this out of interest... i have no way to verify it.
bd: in response to your question.. of course u need police approval.. just like in any country b4 a demo.. but here in europe we call it "notification".. ie u tell them so they can get enough police.. but "approval" means that they can refuse u.
Heh! How soon before this demo starts asking awkward questions about the UAE government's stance on the issues at hand? And why they seem so at odds with the opinion of the general public? Can't have that now, can we?
Tim, you better not go for the approval ;-)
So, did it happen or what?
