Etisalat may receive slap on hand

DUBAI, Oct 10 (Reuters) - The UAE telecoms regulator could fine Emirates Telecommunications Corp. up to 200,000 dirhams ($54,450) for violating competition rules or let it off with a warning, the head of the regulator said.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority is likely to announce its decision on Tuesday, director-general of Mohammed al-Ghanem told Reuters late on Monday.
The fine will range between 50,000 and 200,000 dirhams, he said.

"The other option is to give them a warning because this is the first time they have violated the law or licence," Ghanem said.

She is still thanking me for that help!
