U.S. Review a 2nd Dubai Firm

It seems like "Brand Dubai" is taking a second bout of abuse in the US, as relayed by this WP article, talking of concerns about Dubai International Capital. They also covers the Israeli firm that is going through the same scrutiny.

hallodubai,

Great catch. I've put the link you provided here:
MiamiHerald.com 03/01/2006 UAE boycott of Israel complicates ports deal

I got a heads up on this yesterday when a Clearchannel radio talk show sent me a question on this subject.

Interesting that the UK has no trouble with Emirates investing heavily in Arsenal's success. Actually, there is a second Mideast country that has sealed a deal with Arsenal - in just the last week during the port storm. See The Emirates Economist

I'm not sure what Emirates have done in reards to Arsenal other than sponsoring their stadium and shirts.

And they've messed this up badly. Arsenal were great a few years back, they are crap this season. Chelsea are way out in front of everyone else and look to remain there for the next few seasons, yet Emirates let their sponsorship deal with them expire.
