600 Billion Dhs skyscraper announced

New entrants to the booming and busting Dubai real-estate market, Bottomless has announced a 600 Billion Dhs skyscraper targeted at low-income residents in the UAE.

Featuring spectacular views of the Dubai traffic, a unique roof-top heating system and intermittent shower system, the structure is expected to further consolidate Dubai's position as a pioneer in innovative architecture and sustainable social communities.

Interested buyers are requested to approach the Bottomless sales offices with a 50% payment advance before our "Sold Out" double spread advert appears next week.

I had removed this post earlier as per negative feedbacks from a few people (If 2 can be classied as few) whom I thought were active members and contributors of UAE Community. Good to know that atleast some people do have a sense of humour and awareness of issues in the UAE.

I can't see the sense in evicting bachelors without finding other accommodation for them. It's going to create an increasing vagrancy problem that will far more of a problem long-term.

I know there have been moves to create lower cost accommodation, but it's been too little, too late. The private sector are just greedy and inhumane, and the government has not done enough to regulate the housing situation or install support networks for the lower paid (or ensure that the private sector supports them).

I really do not want to get into controversy, so I'm not writing anything about this post anymore. I myself was really surprised to see the post gone after I asked you to put the picture of the trash bin in your own blog. I cant believe my comment made you delete your post. And I again cant believe you were encouraged to repost it.

Just a thing here.

By 'classied' I think you meant classified. Go ahead and edit it once again.

HAVE A NICE DAY

Ahmed - I think you missed you the satire here. The point is that hardly any accommodation is being built for lower paid workers (hence the advert for a bedspace that you see in this photo).

So the joke is that instead of another luxury tower block, bachelors have been built a big rubbish bin.

Yes - it's dark humour - because it's a dark issue. Bachelors are being forced out of their already cramped, crowded often illegal accommodation into the streets. They aren't being given time or assistance or advice in finding alternative accommodation. Landlords are just switching the utilities off, and telling them to fk off. And the government hasn't so far done anything to remedy the situation.

Hey Ahmed,
Thanks for pointing out the typo.
Since you were smart enough to make out what it is, I am guessing the others wont need the correction.
You have a nice day too :)
